Sketch Design Stage

Detailed Design Stage

Building Documentation

Building Documentation Drawings

Aequi continue to develop the detailed design drawings into the final building documentation drawings, schedules and specifications.

Building Documentation:

  • Site plan and all other relevant floor plans, external elevations, building sections and constructions details.
  • Internal plans and elevations.
  • A comprehensive architectural specification which includes windows and doors schedules, sanitaryware and tapware schedules, materials and finishes schedules.

Note: This stage, depending on the size and complexity of the project may take several months to complete.

Building Permit Submission

Aequi submits a minimum of four sets of building documentation to a registered building surveyor for review.

Note: This process may involve revisions, amendments redesigning and/or additional information.

A successful building permit application may take several weeks.

Building Permit

A building permit will be issued upon a successful building permit application.

Contract Administration Stage

External Consultants

Aequi continue to co-ordinate and communicate on behalf of the client with all relevant consultants during this stage.

Note: Regular communication between the architect and external consultants at this stage can reduce the likelihood of unforeseen problems occuring during the construction phase.

Revisions/Amendments

Aequi revise/amend building documentation in accordance with the comments and/or recommendations made by the client and external consultants.

Note: Changes made during this point would constitue additional expense to the client, not the mention possible delays to the project schedule / time frame. Hence it is strongly recommended that any additional changes made during this stage are discussed in detail with the architect, prior to their implementation
