Sketch Design Stage

Initial Client Meeting

Client and Architect Agreement is signed by both parties. Discuss client's wants and needs, budget, time-frame and any special requirements.

Client Brief

Aequi develops a comprehensive Client Brief, based on the information provided at the previous meeting. This information is presented to the client for review and/or discussion.

Preliminary Council Meeting

Aequi organises a preliminary meeting with relevant council authorities to discuss the feasibility of the architectural proposal.

Sketch Design

Aequi complete a concept design which incorporates all relevant information from the client brief and preliminary council meeting, into a series of simple floor plans and perspective views for review and/or discussion. This process may take several attempts/sketch designs until all parties are satisfied with the outcome.

Note: in the case of a renovation, a thorough site investigation and measurement may be required to accurately document the existing conditions, before the sketch design process can commence.

Town Planning Submission

Aequi organises a comprehensive set of town planning documents (based on the final sketch design) for submission to the relevant council authorities.

Note: This process may involve revisions/redesigning, additional information, mediation and appeals to the Victorian Civil Administration Tribunal. A successful town planning application may take several months.

Town Planning Permit

A town planning permit will be issued upon a successful town planning application.
